We don’t support the usage of horses in the volcano, they can’t support all the work of taking a person all the way up to the volcano. They can only carry up to 80 pounds.
Yes, we suggest taking 4.5 LT per person, but if you drink a lot of water on a daily basis, you can take more. Bottles and water is provided.

Hiking poles are super useful, it helps you to hike up and down. They allow you to open your chest and breathe properly, they help with the grip and they give you stability.
Yes, we have porter service, you need cash to pay them and the price will depend on the weight of your backpack (most that they can carry 25 pounds). The price of porter going up is Q150 for no more than 25 lbs, and the price of porter going down is Q100 for no more than 20 lbs.
Yes, we serve a continental breakfast before you depart to the volcano.

We have built two Dry Bathroom in our basecamp so we can improve your experience with us.
Yes, we have a big locker room where you can leave your belongings while you are hiking.
You will need to carry a daypack with your lunch, some snacks, water, your buff, a small jacket and personal belongings, Remember we will provide your daypack and also that we will carry your big backpack 80% up the way but you will have to carry both of them for the last 20% of the hike which is an average of 30 to 45 minutes walk which is the distance from the 80% stop to the basecamp.
We will provide 4 meals based on protein and calories that you most have in order to join the hike, but if you are planning in doing the extra hike to Fuego or you know you need extra food please we will recommend you to bring extra snacks for yourself.
Normally when you make your reservation with us you will receive your confirmation mail within 5 minutes after finishing placing your order, if you haven’t received yours after this you can check your junk mails, and if you still can’t find it there you can reach out to us in order to get a better assistance.
The Acatenango hike is very demanding, so for safety reasons we do not recommend doing it if you have any respiratory or cardiac/heart conditions.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled hike are non-refundable.
In the event of adverse weather conditions that necessitate the cancellation of the tour while on the hike: Participants will need to walk back with the group to ensure safety, carrying their own backpacks.
No refunds will be issued in such cases due to the unpredictability of weather conditions and for the safety of all participants.
Refunds will not be issued for volcanic eruptions or related activities such as ashfall, lava flow, landslides, wildfires or seismic events affecting safety once the tour has commenced. Rescheduling or refunds may be requested at least 24 hours before the tour starts.
If local or national authorities issue advisories or evacuation orders that result in cancellation prior to the start of the tour, a refund or rescheduling will be offered.
